It's so great to see fan art for Garth Nix's Old Kingdom, especially Lirael/Abshorsen, which are my favorites. This is beautiful! I love the contrast between dark and light in this combined with the turbulent waters, very fitting for the novel's mood. :+favlove:

Thank you, Pierre! As always, the quality of my paintings suffers greatly from the compression. But I sent a copy of better quality to your email address which I found on your website.
The shiny sign is what the author of Lirael calls a charter mark, a sort of magical symbol. Garth Nix created a whole mythology and magical system which are truly fascinating.
